Hi Everybody,
In consideration of long-range sustainability, Lark is taking a developmental hiatus until after the new year. Please look for good news then!
We are seeding a small tween/teen class in the studio and filling book orders, albeit a bit slowly. Thank you for your patience, interest, and support.
Our 2017 list will include erica lewis' and Arielle Guy's awaited books.
See you soon and take care. Elizabeth & girls. ***

Larks at Work {Call for Work}

Pictureand with a song that is delivered in flight
Hi everybody, Lark has books by Shannon Barber and Dub Leffler tentatively planned for 2017 and I am reading the first week of August when I will have some time to do so. I am hoping people will send me 5-10 pp of work* and then we can go from there. I am planning to publish about 6 Larklings, pocket temples, hand-sized perfectbounds like Ginger Ko's, Raquel Salas-Rivera's and Erica Lewis', in 2017. I am also planning for the homeschooling anthology** which will include a wide range of voices discussing the politics and practicalities of allowing children to educate themselves outside of the confines and structural inequities and falsities of our current systems. X Elizabeth Treadwell

*Please send your work as a pdf between Aug 1 & 7 to lilyfoil at yahoo dot com along with a short introduction or hello. I will reply before the end of August. Thank you!
**I will post a separate call for work for the anthology later this year.

P.S. This issue of Boog City includes an interview between Raquel, Ginger, and me.

Happy Mother's Day from Lark's mama-daughters crew!

Thank you to everyone who has ordered books and attended our events and classes!

Our shop is open and Ginger's and Raquel's books are launched -- they will read together again in June -- in Atlanta.

Gemma's Chibi City class was a huge success! Check out the t-shirts they made on the last day (above ;) ).

On the press, erica lewis's book is in production and available for pre-order--check out this gorgeous excerpt.

In the studio, I am developing an Analytical & Creative Writing Workshop for Homeschooled Teens for 2016-2017, as well as a Creative Writing Workshop for ages 7 & up.

Online, I'll be facilitating Poetry Intensives for adults.

Please check back for more announcements later in the summer. Happy days to you!
